The Problem
This magnificent Grade 2 listed building had major wooden peg fatigue and leaks in roof. Because of its listing and age the owner was very reluctant and unable to afford stripping and replacing the roof like for like.
The Solution
James organised for the roof to be completely overhauled and put back together like a Chinese jigsaw. All tile work and lead work was gone over meticulously before applying a 50 mm closed cell rigid foam to the underside of tiles. The process was time consuming but the preparation in cases like this is worth it.
The Result
20 plus years on the roof has been maintenance free and problem free. We have contacted the client in 2020 and it’s as good today as day we did it.
